 Living Harbour - Skinks
These skinks reach maturity at a total length including tail of 10 cm.
The Three-toed Skink, Saiphos equalis, is a nearly limbless species of skink that lives a largely subterranean existence and is commonly encountered by residents in some areas while working in gardens.

 Scincidae
Clutch size is commonly low (~ six) and is limited to one or two eggs in some species groups (e.g., Tribolonotus and Emoia, respectively).
Mittleman (1952) recognized the following lygosome genera: Ablepharus, Anotis (= Nannoscincus), Ateuchosaurus, Carlia, Cophoscincopus, (Cophoscincus (=Lipinia, Calyptotis and Cophoscincopus, Cryptoblepharus, Dasia, Emoia, Eugongylus, Eumecia, Hemiergis, Lampropholis, Leiolopisma, Leptosiaphos, Lipinia, Lygosoma, Mochlus, Nodorha (= Lerista), Norbea (=Tropidophorus), Ophioscincus, Otosaurus (=Sphenomorphus), Panaspis, Rhodona (= Lerista), Riopa, Ristella, Saiphos, Scincella, Sphenomorphus, Squamicilia (= Lygosoma), Tachygyia, Tribolonotus, Tropidophorus.

 hons abst
Despite this variation in reproductive mode, Saiphos equalis appears to be a single species: individuals are morphologically homogeneous throughout their geographic range, although allozyme electrophoresis showed significant genetic divergence among populations.
I have also investigated the relationships of Saiphos equalis and other Sphenomorphine skink species.
Saiphos equalis is an Australian semi-fossorial skink that had been reported to display different modes of reproduction in different populations.

Lake Illawarra Authority - Lake Facts: Plants and Animals
Reptiles which have survived include the grass skink ( Lampropholis guichenoti), eastern water skink ( Eulamprus quoyii), eastern water dragon ( Physignathus lesuerii), and the three-toed skink ( Saiphos equalis), while the eastern froglet ( Crinia signifera), striped marsh frog ( Limnodynastes peronii) and Peron's tree frog ( Litoria peronii) are common amphibians.
A large variety of species live around the lake, other nomadic Australian species appear seasonally.
Reptiles and amphibians: Reptiles and amphibians are a little more common and widespread though numbers have been severely reduced.

 Research
The Australian skink Saiphos equalis is one of only three species worldwide to have oviparous and viviparous reproduction in different populations.
These results will be compared with current work underway on systematics of New Caledonia's geckos.
During my honours year at the University of Sydney, I studied the reproductive ecology of two populations of Saiphos, used allozyme electrophoresis and morphological data to recover the relationships among populations of Saiphos, and used morphological data to investigate the relationships between Saiphos and other Sphenomorphine skinks.

Squeaky wheels getting the grease it seems to me.
Saiphos showed up at our Antechamber raid last night to talk to out guildleader as well.
So last night we're raiding VZ in Tactics when a GM Admin names Saiphos shows up.

 SKINKS - Saiphos
The genus Saiphos is a monotypic genus from Australia.
There has been some confusion over its exact taxonomic status and relationships to other skinks, and it has variously been classified as a member of the Hemiergis or Anotis genera.
The Tasmanian Wildlife and Parks Service has a very useful and informative page on these little-known skinks.

CSIRO PUBLISHING - Australian Journal of Zoology
We examined the reproductive mode of Saiphos equalis over the geographic range of the species using preserved museum specimens, and we gathered detailed information on reproductive output of captive lizards collected from a high-elevation site (Riamukka, in the northern highlands of New South Wales) and from a coastal area (Sydney, southern New South Wales).
These small semi-fossorial skinks from south-eastern Australia exhibit geographic variation in reproductive mode, and some populations show an ‘intermediate’ mode.

 Fires of Heaven
So we took some time off to kill this fella to make sure we hadn't become sissy, he-bitch, manginas.
Today will be the last day of our current GM Saiphos and as such I would like to give him as much public recognition as possible.
Veeshan has had quite the list of GMs over the years as we chased them off and had special ones assigned to thwart the evil, spawn-hogging guild that was FoH(/wave Daegarmo ;)) and this guy seriously takes the cake.

VN Boards - Random Jackass of Last Week
As far as the train you refer to, if 2 green mobs pulled as a joke after tormax was dead and you accused us of trying to sabotage your kill really burns your ass so badly, Saiphos does a good job as a GM, see if he gives a shit...I'll wager a guess he doesn't.
Just too bad there was no incriminating text to be reported to link the (confirmed) train that wiped us out to whatever shithead you had bring it.
I don't think we even bothered to report it.
