In the winter, Roborowski's gecko is accustomed to hibernation, so gradually lower winter temperatures to 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit for a three-month period, then gradually warm the geckos in the spring.
Leave a shallow dish of calcium in the terrarium with breeding females; this is necessary to replenish calcium reserves used up from egg production.
Roborowski's gecko, a stout reptile measuring 4.75 to 5.5 inches, is covered with various shades of brown-orange bands that become more flecked in appearance as the gecko ages (Lui, 1994).

The Gecko Spot---Pictus Gecko Care Guide
Place a small piece of veg (carrot, fresh greens etc) in the viv to provide a food source for free range insects.
Females should also be removed from the male after 3 - 4 clutches and allowed time for rest and recuperation.Female pictus geckos have the ability to retain sperm and use it to fertilize future eggs - so fertile eggs can still appear well after the last mating.
Background temperature can be achieved by placing a heatmat to cover one-third of the ground area controlled by a suitable thermostat.

Many Day gecko species are relatively easy to keep in a terrarium that should be higher than long, heated and quite moist according to Madagascar's climate.
Like in most other Gecko species the eyelids of Day geckos are immovable and grown into one.
Like other Geckos Day geckos are known for their capability to walk on smooth vertical surfaces.

 Picta Care Sheet
Baby picta geckos are very excitable and skittish, but calm down with age and handling.
I am strongly against the use of calci-sand or any other sand containing calcium carbonate.
They take up very little space and have simple feeding requirements.

Though not the most up to date piece of literature on keeping day geckos (genus Phelsuma), this book is well worth buying if you're interested in keeping them.
