 Chiroptera - BPAL Madness!
Sadly, all I got from Chiroptera was the honeysuckle with a vaguely present base of darker flowers.
Even with all of the flowers in the mix, I would definitely call this a gender neutral scent.
Theraveda made a good observation, as Chiroptera is a wonderful fragrance for spring and summer.

 Chiroptera
As the name "Chiroptera" ("hand wing) translates, the wings are formed by a stretched membrane across elongated finger bones to the sides of the body and all the way down enclosing the legs and tail.
When the wing is not extended the membrane folds up along countless creases more efficiently than an umbrella.
In the Megachiroptera (large bats), however, the membrane does not extend across the legs down to the feet, as it does in the Microchiroptera (small bats).

 ADW: Chiroptera: Information
Myotis lucifugus is one of the most widely studied species worldwide; thus, it would not be surprising if other, less well-known species live even longer.
Approximately 25% of all species within Chiroptera (nearly 240 species) are considered threatened by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
The behavior that unifies all of Chiroptera is flight.

 ANIMAL BYTES - Order Chiroptera
The feeding habits of the various Chiroptera species are quite diverse.
Chiroptera are heterothermic with body temperature variances of between 41° C (106° F) during flight to a hibernating and torpor temperature of 2° C (36° F).
Chiroptera are distributed throughout the world except in the coldest polar regions of the northern and southern hemispheres above the tree lines.

CHIROPTERA - LoveToKnow Article on CHIROPTERA
Palaeontology tells us nothing with regard to the origin of the Chiroptera, all the known fossil species, some of which date back to the Oligocene, being more or less closely allied to existing types, and therefore of comparatively little interest.
Although the brain is of a low type, probably no animals possess so delicate a sense of touch as Chiroptera.
Thus, in direct contrast to all other mammals, in which locomotion is chiefly effected by action from behind, and the hind-limbs consequently greatly preponderate in size over the fore, in the Chiroptera the fore-limbs, being the agents in propelling the body forward during flight, immensely exceed the short and weak hinder extremities.

All Bats Do Not Look Alike
Last modified: Tue Jul 15 22:44:19 PDT 1997
Microbats is the larger bat group consisting of over 700 species that are found in the Americas and throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia.
The animal order, chiroptera, is divided into two main groups of bats: micro-chiroptera (microbats) and mega-chiroptera (megabats).

 Chiroptera Sapiens
It is entirely possible that this world may yet see the development of this species, Chiroptera Sapiens.
They are well known for their nocturnal habits and their rodent-like appearance.
The Chiroptera family, commonly known by the name "bats", has been around for approximately 50 million years and has remained relatively unchanged in all that time (Tuttle, 1988).

 An Introduction to Bats (Chiroptera)
Bats may not be dangerous to mankind, but mankind is dangerous to bats, most known bat populations have undergone considerable population reductions in the last 50 years, mostly due to modern agricultural polices and the increased hunting ability supplied by guns, and many species are endangered.
Although there was some suggestion in the past that the two suborders may have evolved separately, it is now generally accepted that they are monophyletic, meaning that the all bats arose from a single ancestral lineage.
Given the size range and huge number of species in the order Chiroptera it is little wonder that it is amazingly diverse, with bats showing wide ranges of, feeding, roosting, behavioural, social and reproductive strategies.

Georgia Wildlife Web Site; mammals: chiroptera
chiroptera means "hand-winged." A bat's forearms and hands are modified into large wings by a membranous skin that is stretched between the bones.

Facts about Bats from Chiroptera Cabin Company
The group of generally small, insect eating (insectivorous) bats, all of which have the ability to echolocate.
Many live in caves and capture insects in flight.
The order Chiroptera has 2 suborders: Microchiroptera and Megachiroptera

 Order Chiroptera
Chiroptera, "hand wing," alludes to the great elongation of the fingers that support the flying membrane.
Among mammals, bats are unique in that they have true powers of flight; other mammals, such as flying squirrels, volplane or glide, always from a higher to a lower elevation.
Ear less than 16 mm, not extending more than 2 mm beyond nose when laid forward; tragus shorter and straight: Myotis austroriparius (southeastern myotis).

 ORDER CHIROPTERA
Little brown bats live in colonies with females and young located separately from the males in the same cave.
Bats are in the mammalian order Chiroptera, meaning hand-wing, acknowledging how the wings evolved from hands.
The four fingers elongate with webbing to form the wings, while the thumb remains short and free for gripping.

Bat Houses made by Chiroptera Cabin Company
Chiroptera Cabin Company was the first bat house manufacturing company to use a Groovin’ Saw to create grooved roosting surfaces.
About Us Our company name, Chiroptera Cabin Company, comes from the word Chiroptera (pronounced Ki räp' ter a), which is the scientific name for the Order of Mammals in the Animal Kingdom that contain all the BATS of the world, and the word Cabin, which is a small, roughly constructed house.
The name Chiroptera Cabin Company translates to Bat House Company!

We estimate that megabats and microbats diverged from each other approximately 76 Myr BP, which is much older than previously thought, and discuss the origin and early evolution of Chiroptera based on these findings.

CDC - Nipah Virus Infection in Bats (Order Chiroptera) in Peninsular Malaysia
Additional support for this targeted approach was provided by the findings of earlier serologic surveillance of flying foxes in Papua New Guinea, in which antibodies neutralizing Hendra virus were found in five of six species tested (Field et al., unpub.
This apparently close phylogenetic relationship focused initial wildlife surveillance on bats (order Chiroptera), particularly pteropid bats (flying foxes), species of which are the probable natural host of Hendra virus in Australia (4-6).
Preliminary characterization of a human isolate of the new virus, subsequently named Nipah virus, showed it to have ultrastructural, serologic, antigenic, and molecular similarities to Hendra virus (1-3).

 Holy Chiroptera, Batman! Outside Online
Alarmed over the decline of bat species--more than 50 percent of North American bat species are considered threatened or endangered--he approached the major environmental groups for help.
Tuttle took matters into his own hands in 1982 by forming BCI and, in 1986, quitting his museum job and moving to Austin to run the foundation full time.
"They would give $300,000 for a panda, but they couldn't give $250 for a bat." The Chiroptera, he learned, just weren't cute enough.
